We want to hear from you. You can get involved by participating in the public workgroups and workshops scheduled throughout the Delta. We invite all interested community members and organizations to attend these meetings. If you are not able to attend the scheduled public meetings, you can also email us written comments, which will be reviewed and posted on our website.
Public Workgroups
Public workgroups began meeting in May 2011. The workgroups identify appropriate goals, objectives, criteria, priorities and performance measures to guide the Conservancy in meeting its legislative responsibilities. Conservancy workgroups include:
- Ecosystem Restoration
- Land Ownership and Best Management Practices
- Agriculture, Recreation and Tourism
- Delta Flood Resilience
- Climate Change
Visit Delta Conservancy Workgroups Overview for more information.
Public Workshops
Public workshops are an opportunity for community members to provide input in developing the strategic plan. These workshops are expected to occur throughout the Delta in fall 2011. They will be announced on the website and through our List Serve.
Other Ways to be Involved
Other ways to be involved in developing the strategic plan include attending and providing public comments at the Conservancy's Strategic Plan and Policy Committee meetings, scheduled the first Monday of each month, or at the monthly Board Meetings scheduled on the third Wednesday of each month, beginning at 9 a.m. Please check our website for meeting notices and agendas.
